Veeam accelerates growth in H1’21” outpacing the market by more than 2X

Despite the adversity we have all been facing in the past two years, Veeam has remained focused on our customer’s needs and working closely with our partners to execute on our promise to be the most trusted provider of backup, recovery and data management solutions that deliver Modern Data Protection. Customers are voting with their wallet and selecting Veeam to protect one of their most valueable assets: their data.

Our teams across the world have been working tirelessly to ensure that every single customer has the tools they need to protect, adapt and excel. And our strategy is working, as proved by the recent IDC Tracker we are in.

In 1H’21, Veeam had the fastest revenue growth in the worldwide Data Replication & Protection market YoY (+25.3%) among the top five vendors, all other vendors combined and overall market average. In fact, Veeam’s growth was more than double our nearest top five competitor; in this market, that is an amazing achievement, and I am delighted at what our team – both internal and our ecosystem – has delivered. In 2H’20 Veeam became the #2 provider worldwide in terms of overall revenue with YoY growth more than 16 percentage points above the market average, and that positioning was reinforced once again in the first half of 2021. We are not slowing down; we are quickly closing in on the global #1 position.

According to IDC’s 1H21 results, our EMEA and LATAM businesses are still going strong as #1 in the Data Replication & Protection market in terms of overall revenue growth among top five vendors and market share. Congratulations to our EMEA and LATAM team for their ongoing success! We have also seen significant gains in our other regions, with APJ and North America outgrowing the competition and gaining and market share. Well done, team.

But we are not stopping there. During our recent VeeamON Update event, we announced an expansion to our SaaS backup capabilities with the upcoming release of Veeam Backup for Salesforce. Veeam’s commitment to bringing to market a reliable and flexible solution that is easy to use is still the foundation of our corporate strategy.
