A new adventure. Joining the Veeam journey. New beginnings for 2022

A new adventure often marks the close of a chapter. In my case, one that has provided unforgettable experiences and lasting friendships. But as one chapter closes, a new one begins – promising new opportunities to learn and grow.

And today an exciting new chapter begins for me. I am proud and honored to become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Veeam.

Veeam is at the heart of an ever-growing data ecosystem – data powers every organization in every sector in every country in the world. Protecting and managing that data is critical. We orchestrate data movement, control and trusted protection in any environment and any platform – the cloud, virtual, physical, SaaS or Kubernetes. We are a critical part of sound data strategy. Veeam helps protect from the growing frequency and scale of cyber threats and ransomware. In a world where IT environments are rapidly changing and increasingly complex, we are here to help. As more organizations move their data to the hybrid cloud, Veeam’s importance grows and positions us as a north star in the technology industry.

Behind the technology is a talented team. I have been incredibly impressed. So many ideas. So much passion. Razor focus and dedication. For innovation. For partnership. And most importantly, for our customers. It is that team – the incredible people behind the innovation, customer & partner trust, and support – that create the exciting opportunity ahead. And one of critical reasons I am excited to be joining Veeam today.

Veeam has enjoyed a record year of profitable growth in 2021, going past $1 billion in ARR. Gartner has recognized Veeam as a leader for the fifth time in its 2021 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Solutions – the second year running positioned with the highest ability to execute. With our market-leading growth, we secured the #2 position worldwide in terms of market share. Milestone performance! And a bar set high that I am eager to see reach new heights in the coming years.

Veeam’s success in 2021 is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks to the leadership and vision of outgoing CEO, Bill Largent, the strong foundation for that future growth is solidly in place. I look forward to working with Bill as I transition into my new role and as he continues as Veeam’s Chairman of the Board.

Veeam’s core values align with my own vision on how to drive success for all audiences:  employees, customers, partners and investors. I am both humbled and proud to be spearheading a new phase in Veeam’s journey.

Thank you Veeam, for putting your trust in me.
